I’ve recently returned from a trip to check the route notes for our walking holiday in northern Spain that explores 'The Rugged Hills and Coast of Asturias’. My base was in the small traditional village of Collia, an ideal location for accessing both the coast and mountains. For the most part the weather was glorious, and walking high amid the rugged peaks of the Picos de Europa and Ponga Natural Parks proved an unforgettable experience.
