Think of Provence and the image of bees and butterflies buzzing above lavender fields immediately comes to mind. The fields blossom from June to July, after which the flowers are harvested to extract the famed essential oils, but travel around Provence and neighbouring Gard and you’ll encounter landscapes also immortalised in paintings.
Overall, this was just the holiday we were looking for! Plenty was set up for us beforehand, but it also left leeway for us to enjoy it at our own pace or adjust the routes. The walking tours featured the essential parts of each city to see. The hotels were fantastic, and the breakfasts perfect. A wonderful holiday!"
