We had a fantastic holiday with Tromso and Oslo City Break. The hotel With is amazing, the location couldn't be better. pay extra for a Harbour view it is so worth it. Breakfast, afternoon cake and evening meal were great. The Northern lights trip with Dan was amazing, we were looked after and he explained so much about the sky at night. Book any trips for Reindeer or Husky sleigh rides as early as you can as they are so popular. We went in March and the massive Cruise ships were moored up for days. However, we had bright blue skies the whole time we were there and snow on the surrounding mountains. Don't miss the cable car to overlook Tromso and we loved the boat trip on Hermes II for 2.5 hours. Oslo is a great city to walk around. We loved the Holkeman ski lift (travelled by Metro).
This was a very special holiday, eight days that felt much longer but for all the right reasons. This was our first holiday in Norway and we're very tempted to go back. The scenery was beautiful, seeing the Northern Lights was a wonderful experience and the people were all very friendly and helpful. The "Arctic Cathedral" and the cablecar at Tromso were also highlights and Inntravel's local information helped us discover sights of interest that we might not otherwise have found in the time available. The Hotel Bristol is absolutely amazing - breakfast is endless and the cakes on offer for afternoon tea (and for supper) are works of art and beyond delicious!

Try Elias Restaurant if you're staying at the Hotel Bristol - 2 minutes round the corner and lovely food. Don't underestimate how cold it will be, especially when you chase the lights, and Dan will do his absolute best to get you to see them....we appreciated his efforts, really great, knowledgeable man. It's just very cold everywhere!

Double rainbows, cod-liver oil, Viking myths, green fields, black boulders, wood-paneled rooms, and brown cheese were all highlights of our Journey to A. Hourslong walks through boggy bottoms and up craggy, wind-blown peaks were interspersed with lovely peaceful art galleries and a sturdy Viking longhouse. Roads are narrow--and bridges even narrower--but drivers are considerate and not in a rush. Don't be put off by the Minke whale steaks: Norwegians think of Minke whales as sea-going cows, and take seriously cetacean conservation. If reindeer is on the menu try it and if you go to Oslo, have a hot chocolate with cream at the Hotel Bristol's Library bar. Oh, and anywhere you can find Romme, the Norwegian sour cream, eat it. It is a little bit of dairy heaven.

Oslo is an amazing city. We particularly enjoyed the walking tour and the spectacular breakfasts at Hotel Bristol in Oslo.

The service we received from Inntravel when our flight was cancelled was excellent and helped ease a stressful situation. Many thanks. Hotel Bristol was excellent and in a good location.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Northern Lights tour. The other excursions we booked were excellent too (Snowmobile, Snow shoe walk and Dog Sledding). The snack/lunches provided on the excursions and the complimentary evening buffet at the hotel, really helped us with our budget. As did the Oslo visit card. The weather was good for us, sunny, but still bitterly cold. We saw others, despite the information saying to dress warmly, a little under dressed. I can only think that being cold, takes away from the enjoyment. The accommodation was excellent in both Tromso and Oslo.
