“During my first six months at Inntravel I have had the opportunity to train with both the Sales and Customer Services teams. The existing team members are full of knowledge and are always keen to help, and the in-depth training has enabled me to develop my interpersonal skills and to build up my product and industry knowledge. My training has been cemented by a recent work trip to Tuscany – it was an incredible opportunity to meet the hoteliers we work with and to understand the customers’ perspective of the Inntravel experience.”

“When I joined in 2006 Inntravel had a travel shop, and I worked front-of-house, greeting customers, answering their queries, serving hot drinks and doing general admin during quiet times. I then joined the team which dealt with all aspects of holidays in Italy, the Alps and Norway, from sales through to ticketing. That job morphed into the job I do now, which is in Holiday Operations, liaising with Italian hoteliers, tailor-making itineraries and dealing with operational issues as and when they crop up (which they always do!). It’s a very varied job, and I get to manage my own workload, but what I enjoy most of all is the contact with hoteliers.”

"I’ve worked in Inntravel Customer Services since 2013. It’s a job that suits me – I’m a big believer in putting the customer first, as it impacts on their entire holiday experience. I enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people from around the world whilst endeavouring to provide a memorable customer experience in a friendly and helpful manner. Finding solutions, advising customers on the best options for them and hopefully making them happy makes my job both interesting and satisfying.”

“I started out in the Sales Team, then was seconded to Marketing for a few months to help build the new website. On the back of that, I was offered a job in Product Coordination, pricing holidays. After 5 years in that role, I’m back where I started, in Sales, but as team leader. During my time with Inntravel I’ve been lucky enough to travel to Lycia in Turkey, the Faroe Islands and Nepal, but what I perhaps like even more than the travelling is the camaraderie – it’s a very friendly, down-to-earth office.”

“For me, the best thing about working for Inntravel is the staff. There’s a real team spirit here, which didn’t exist at the place where I worked for a year in between doing A-levels and joining Inntravel. I mostly work in Customer Services, but have also done stints in Sales and Ticketing – and am currently working with our Commercial team – which has been interesting, seeing different parts of the business.”
